Restroom Report is designed to help people find and rate public-access restrooms while collecting only what is needed to operate the service.
Information you provide
When you submit a location, rating, comment, feedback request, or account information, we may store that content and basic information needed to associate it with your contribution.
Location information
If you allow location access, Restroom Report uses your approximate or precise location to show nearby restrooms and help confirm that ratings come from people near a location. Browser permission is optional and can be changed in your device settings.
What we do not collect
- No restroom photographs are accepted.
- We do not ask for medical conditions or diagnoses.
- We do not sell personal information.
Device storage
The web app may temporarily store preferences, cached app files, and contribution history on your device for performance and offline use.
Cookies and analytics
Restroom Report uses Google Analytics (through Firebase) to understand how the web app is used, such as which pages are visited and how often. This sets analytics cookies in your browser. These cookies are not loaded until you accept them in the cookie banner shown on your first visit; declining keeps them off. Signing in still works either way, since authentication uses its own cookies that are required for the service to function and are not affected by this choice.
You can change your analytics choice at any time by opening this link, which brings back the cookie banner.
Service providers
We may use providers such as mapping, hosting, analytics, authentication, and database services to operate Restroom Report. These providers process information under their own privacy terms.
Your choices
You can deny location access, decline analytics cookies, clear browser storage, or contact support to request help with your data.
